Concrete Finisher

THIS POSITION REQUIRES VERIFIABLE PROFESSIONAL CONCRETE FINISHING EXPERIENCE.

Applicants without substantial hands-on finishing experience in a professional construction environment will not be considered. Weekend side work or helping family members is not considered qualified experience.

CONCRETE FINISHER

Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and dependable Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of concrete placement, finishing techniques, grading, forming, and curing processes for residential and/or commercial projects. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to quality workmanship and job site safety. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Prepare, set, and finish concrete surfaces including slabs, sidewalks, driveways, footings, patios, foundations, structural concrete, retaining walls and block walls (preferred). Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and project specifications. Set forms and ensure proper alignment, elevation, and grade. Set and tie rebar per plans and specifications to ensure proper reinforcement placement. Place, spread, level, and smooth concrete using hand and power tools. Experience using concrete finishing tools and equipment including trowels, screeds, vibrators, saws, and grinders. Apply finishing techniques including broom finish, smooth trowel finish, exposed aggregate, stamping, and sealing. Monitor concrete curing process and apply curing compounds as needed. Perform concrete repairs, patching, and resurfacing when required. Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards. Coordinate with foremen, laborers, pump operators, and other trades on-site. Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area. Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of concrete finishing experience preferred. Knowledge of concrete placement, finishing, and curing techniques. Ability to read construction plans and use measuring tools accurately. Experience with commercial and/or residential concrete projects. Strong understanding of safety procedures and job site protocols. Ability to lift 100+ pounds and perform physical labor throughout the workday. Reliable transportation and valid driver's license. Ability to work overtime and occasional weekends as needed. Preferred Skills Experience operating skid steers, mini excavators, or other construction equipment. Experience with decorative concrete finishes. Work Environment Outdoor construction environment. Frequent standing, kneeling, bending, lifting, and repetitive motion. Exposure to dust, noise, heat, cold, and wet conditions. Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience.
