As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for shaping, smoothing, and finishing concrete on various projects, ensuring quality and safety standards are met. Responsibilities Prepare concrete surfaces by leveling, smoothing, and finishing freshly poured concrete using hand tools and power tools. Install rebar and metal mesh to reinforce concrete structures according to schematics and blueprints. Operate heavy equipment such as concrete mixers, pumps, and other machinery to facilitate efficient pouring and finishing processes. Read and interpret construction schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to execute precise finishes. Apply finishing techniques including troweling, floating, caulking, and sealing to achieve smooth surfaces suitable for flooring or other applications. Collaborate with carpenters, masons, and other tradespeople during renovation or new construction projects to ensure seamless workflow. Conduct quality inspections on completed work to meet project specifications and safety standards while maintaining a clean and organized work site. Qualifications Proven experience in concrete finishing or related construction roles with knowledge of heavy lifting and site safety protocols. Mechanical knowledge of tools such as hand tools, power tools, screeds, trowels, and concrete mixers. Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings accurately. Skilled in rebar installation, form setting, masonry work, plastering, stucco application, tile laying, flooring installation, and metal stud framing is highly desirable. Experience operating heavy equipment including concrete pumps or mixers is preferred. Strong understanding of construction estimating processes and blueprint reading skills.
