Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Concrete Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping, finishing, and detailing concrete surfaces to meet project specifications and quality standards. Your expertise will help bring construction projects to life, ensuring durable, smooth, and aesthetically pleasing concrete finishes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from commercial buildings to renovation sites, utilizing your technical skills and passion for craftsmanship. Duties Prepare concrete surfaces by smoothing, leveling, and finishing using hand tools and power tools such as trowels, floats, and screeds. Install rebar and reinforcement materials according to blueprints and schematics to ensure structural integrity. Operate heavy equipment including concrete mixers, pumps, and other machinery safely and efficiently. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute precise concrete finishing tasks. Apply additional finishes such as caulking, stucco, plastering, or tile laying as needed for renovation or restoration projects. Perform heavy lifting and manual labor required for concrete pouring, form setting, and site preparation. Collaborate with carpenters, masons, welders, and other tradespeople to coordinate project phases on construction sites. Qualifications Proven experience in concrete finishing or related construction roles with a strong understanding of concrete forming and curing processes. Mechanical knowledge of tools and equipment used in concrete work including mixers, power tools, hand tools, and heavy machinery operation. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Knowledge of rebar installation, metal stud framing, masonry techniques, roofing basics, and flooring installation is highly desirable. Familiarity with construction estimating processes and blueprint reading enhances project accuracy. Physical stamina for heavy lifting, prolonged standing, bending, and working at heights on construction sites. Valid driver's license with commercial driving experience preferred for site transportation needs.
