Job Title:
Concrete Laborer Job Description The Concrete Laborer works in a manufacturing environment producing precast concrete products. In this role, you perform a mix of general labor tasks, including setting up and pouring concrete, stripping and cleaning forms, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. You regularly assist with basic carpentry and mechanical tasks, follow work orders and safety guidelines, and collaborate with a team in a fast-paced, physically demanding setting. This position is well-suited for someone who enjoys active, hands-on work and staying physically fit. Responsibilities Set up, pour, and finish concrete for precast products according to work orders and instructions. Prepare, strip, and clean concrete forms and related equipment after use to ensure they are ready for the next pour. Assist with basic carpentry tasks, including building, assembling, and adjusting forms and molds as needed. Use basic mechanical skills to handle tools and equipment safely and effectively in a manufacturing environment. Read and follow simple instructions, work orders, and safety guidelines to complete daily tasks accurately. Perform general labor duties such as moving materials, organizing work areas, and supporting production flow. Measure and check dimensions using tape measures, levels, and other basic measurement tools to maintain quality standards. Work closely with team members to meet production goals in a fast-paced, labor-intensive environment. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area by sweeping, removing debris, and properly storing tools and materials. Stand, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods while lifting and carrying materials throughout the shift. Essential Skills High school diploma or GED. Ability to lift and carry 40-50+ pounds repeatedly throughout the shift. Previous experience in manufacturing, construction, concrete work, or heavy industrial environments preferred but not required. Basic carpentry skills for working with forms and simple structures. Basic mechanical aptitude for using hand tools and production equipment safely. Ability to read and interpret simple instructions, safety guidelines, and work orders. Proficiency with basic math and measurement tools such as tape measures and levels. Capability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting. Comfort working in outdoor or industrial environments with dust, noise, and varying temperatures. Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive, physically demanding tasks for extended periods. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in general construction, concrete finishing, or concrete form work. Background in general production or factory work. Comfort with highly physical, labor-intensive work on a daily basis. Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn new tasks and processes. Work Environment This is a tough, highly labor-intensive role in an industrial manufacturing setting focused on precast concrete production. You work on your feet for most of the day, frequently lifting and carrying heavy materials and handling concrete forms. The environment may include exposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures, including outdoor conditions. The pace is fast, and the work is physically demanding, making it important that you are comfortable with strenuous, repetitive tasks and staying active throughout your shift. Appropriate work attire should support safety, durability, and comfort in an industrial, hands-on environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nampa, ID. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
