Job Summary The Conflicts Specialist (Laterals) is responsible for preparing conflict check reports, updating internal records related to new hire conflicts, and supporting new business intake processes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The following are the key responsibilities of the role, though additional duties may be assigned: Review conflict check submission forms from partners, attorneys, and paralegals across the firm. Generate accurate and efficient conflict check reports using Intapp, internal systems, and online research tools, supplementing findings with independent analysis and online research. Communicate effectively with attorneys and staff to gather necessary information, ensuring data is collected promptly and accurately. Collaborate with the Conflicts team to update internal records and retrieve necessary documents such as engagement letters, waivers, and client details for attorneys. Assist the Conflicts team with various operational tasks, including new business intake, establishing ethical walls, and conducting client background checks. Qualifications Previously worked in a conflicts role within a law firm High level of trustworthiness required to handle sensitive and confidential information. Proficient in Boolean search logic and basic internet research techniques. Exceptional attention to detail is critical. Ability to complete tasks independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong oral and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with staff and attorneys at all levels, exercising tact and diplomacy.Similar remote jobs
