Connections Director

Steamboat Rock Baptist Church is seeking a Connections Director to bring strategic clarity, relational presence, and ministerial depth as they faithfully work to support the spiritual formation of both students and adults, whether they are new to faith in Jesus, simply considering our church, looking to connect more meaningfully, or calling SRBC home. The candidate must demonstrate a clear commitment to the vision, values, and leadership of Steamboat Rock Baptist Church. In the role of Connections Director, they'll be operating in both adult connections ministries and within our youth ministries. In their connections capacity they will provide thoughtful and strategic leadership while functioning as a relational link between SRBC and those who attend. This will require commitment and follow-through to support the ultimate objective of spiritual growth through meaningful fellowship, attendance, and service. In their youth capacity they will supplement the efforts of SRBC's Associate Pastor through small group curriculum design, connections facilitation, and strategic investment in students and parents. Connections Director Job Description Key Responsibilities:

Connections Ministry Focus (50%) Lead the Community Team Oversee SRBC's Small Group Ministry Direct the Hospitality Team (Welcome Team/Greeters/Ushers/Kitchen Team) Oversee new guest follow up Ensure coordinated connections efforts with Members/Attendees/Guests (absentees, etc.) Assist with necessary elements of Sunday AM Worship Services such as announcements and prayer Maintain a Sunday morning presence as the key voice connecting regular attenders and guests to next steps along SRBC's Discipleship Pathway (Connect+Grow+Serve+Go). Assist with recruiting and developing connections volunteers Youth Ministry Focus (50%) Youth Ministry Hospitality New visitor follow up Ensure coordinated Connections efforts with students (Absentees, Etc.) Support family outreach to parents Develop monthly small group curriculum for our

Youth Ministry Minimum Qualifications:

Mature and growing relationship with Jesus Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and/or vocational ministry experience deemed to be equivalent Experience in leading youth and facilitating youth services Experience in researching and/or developing systems and curriculums History in recruiting, developing, and releasing volunteers Experience in building community within a church Aligns with Steamboat Rock Baptist Church's doctrinal statement and values. Aligns with the NAB doctrinal Statement of Beliefs. Highly relational with the ability to build connections across different age groups Able to organize, train, and lead volunteers and students Able to manage time well and balance priorities Proficient in system and task administration Proven interpersonal and communication skills Experience working within the parameters of a budget and management thereof

Work Expectations:

Full-time position with regular office hours as well as Wednesday evening youth programs and Sunday services Serve on the Ministry Leadership Team and attend monthly meetings. Expected to engage in community outreach and represent the church in local events.
