Job Description

Flairwood is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead our Construction Casework Team and develop Contractor Relationships. This person will be responsible for leading the team in successful planning, executing, and completion of laminate casework projects. The Business Development Manager will build strong relationships with Construction Customers. This position requires a blend of project management, laminate Casework knowledge, and effective communication skills. The Business Development Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for clients and internal teams, ensuring projects are delivered correctly and on time. This business is poised for targeted expansion.
Position Profile Project Planning & Process Flow:
Accountable for leading the business holistically. Success measured by results and sustainability, not activity. Analyze process flows to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. Implement streamlined processes and workflows to optimize productivity and increase reliability. Analyze bid invitations, architectural drawings, and specifications for casework and millwork products. Perform accurate take-offs and bid proposals. Oversee the creation and approval process for shop drawings, material samples, and order entry. Work with manufacturing to monitor production schedules and adherence to design details and shop drawings. This position will require 25-35% travel time.
Project Oversight & Closeout:
Coordinate and manage all on-site activities, including delivery and installation. Oversee the final punch list, ensuring all outstanding items are addressed and resolved to client satisfaction. Manage final billing, lien waivers, and financial reconciliation. Conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and best practices for future projects. Prepare progress reports, status updates, and financial summaries for management.
Skills needed:
Proven people skills to build channel relationships. Flexibility to work with, motivate, and manage internal and external teams. Industry knowledge, ability to learn about customers and partners in a competitive market, understand the construction process, read and interpret architectural drawings, and specifications. Analytical skills to risk management and margin protection.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences. Excellent listening skills. Capable of managing multiple projects concurrently while maintaining attention to detail. A strong commitment to client satisfaction and building lasting professional relationships.
