About the RoleLVI Associates are working with a leading specialist construction services firm that is seeking an experienced professional to support complex construction-related matters involving disputed repairs and damage assessments. This role plays a key part in developing well-supported cost evaluations used in formal dispute resolution settings.
The position sits at the intersection of construction, documentation, and analysis, requiring a strong understanding of existing conditions, repair methodologies, and industry pricing standards. The successful candidate will contribute to evaluations that must hold up under detailed technical and third-party review.
Role OverviewThis position focuses on evaluating and assessing repair scopes related to contentious construction matters. You will collaborate with internal technical teams, operational stakeholders, and external professionals to prepare detailed, defensible cost analyses supported by clear documentation and methodology.
The role requires a structured, methodical approach and the ability to clearly explain assumptions, cost drivers, and technical considerations to non-technical audiences.
Key ResponsibilitiesReview disputed or contested construction damage mattersPrepare detailed repair cost assessments based on findings and supporting documentationEvaluate third-party estimates, invoices, reports, and proposed scopes for accuracy and completenessIdentify pricing variances, scope gaps, and potential compliance or code-related issuesProduce written summaries and cost evaluations to support case strategyCoordinate with legal, claims, and technical professionals throughout the evaluation processRespond to formal information requests related to repair methodologies and pricing assumptionsSupport formal proceedings by explaining repair logic, scope rationale, and cost driversEnsure all evaluations align with applicable codes, regulations, and industry standardsMaintain organized files and documentation suitable for formal review or proceedingsSkills & Experience5+ years' experience supporting disputed construction, insurance-related, or technical evaluation mattersStrong numerical aptitude, including applied math and measurement conceptsBroad knowledge of construction practices, materials, safety standards, and building regulationsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and ExcelAbility to interpret plans, specifications, and technical documentationClear written and verbal communication skillsHighly detail-oriented with strong organizational disciplineProactive, professional mindset with the ability to work across multiple stakeholders
