Job Description

The Sullivan County Department of Public Works is seeking to fill the following position:
CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT OPERATOR I
Employees in this class perform manual duties in connection with the operation of automotive and construction equipment. This class is distinguished from that of Motor Equipment Operator and Construction Equipment Operator II on the basis of the skills required to operate the equipment at the operator skills level. Specific directions are received from a superior, but employees are responsible for the safe and economical operation of their equipment and may supervise in absence of a supervisor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Two (2) years of experience and demonstrated competency in the operation of construction equipment.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT FOR APPOINTMENT
Possession of a valid Commercial Driver's License with a "B" Classification (CDL-B).

$29.8559 an hour

$30.3559 an hour
