Construction Estimator

We are looking for a Construction Estimator who is driven by exceeding expectations to join our collaborative project team in any of our offices in Albany, Saratoga, Comstock, Dannemora, Watertown, NY. In the role you'll have the opportunity to work on active projects coordinating the progression of trades and design-field staff. You'll provide support to the Project Managers by developing and maintaining project cost/change controls, project budget, review contractor's unit price estimate, prepare new cost estimates, assist in reviewing process with the contractors, perform cost analysis, and change order estimates/negotiations, document control, scheduling, and RFI's. You'll be tasked with ensuring the project moves ahead to completion according to client standards by analyzing drawings and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. Responsibilities:

Review orders on contract for contract compliance Manage all orders on contract within a geographical location Estimate and negotiate orders on contract with contractors in accordance with the contract Act as liaison between contractors, field personnel, client, executive staff and contract management on issues and complex matters Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field 4 years in cost estimation experience which includes cost preparation, review of architectural, mechanical, electrical components of building projects Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel Estimating experience in all areas of construction EastPMCM #NorthPMCM #LI-SD2 Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
