Construction Estimator Commercial

We are a growing Central Vermont company that has been in business since 1980. We are seeking a qualified construction estimator that ideally has previous experience in construction or a related field; however, we do offer on-the-job training. Our projects include hospitals; colleges; schools; office spaces; hotels and military bases. The ideal candidate will be familiar with architectural plans and specifications; preparing detailed take-offs and estimates; identifying scopes of work; and the ability to communicate directly with contractors throughout the bidding process.

Responsibilities:

Obtain quotes from multiple vendors and prepare detailed estimates and proposals for commercial construction. Review plans specifications, RFI's and addendums. Perform quality take-offs for Division 10-12 Specialties and related scopes. Coordinate with the Project Manager to ensure accurate take-offs and installation estimates. Build and maintain relationships with general contractors. Coordinate and track multiple bid invitations and communication relating to project opportunities.

Preferred estimator skills:

A college education. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Word; Microsoft Outlook; Bluebeam or Adobe Professional. Experience with take-offs and estimating software preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills. Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task efficiently and meet deadlines independently.

Pay:

$23.00 - $30.00 per hour
