CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATOR

The position is salaried, with minimal overtime hours No supervisory responsibilities

Summary of Job Description:

Prepare bids from architectural drawings, specifications and other pertinent bid documents Perform project take-offs Researching, sourcing, negotiating and obtaining best prices and quotes from suppliers and subcontractors Prepare project submittals for specified contract projects Analyzing data that can affect costs (such as currency exchange rates and the company's productivity rates Will work closely with the sales force to provide them with accurate information for the creation of proposals for customers Actively review project variables in order to find the most competitive and customer-centered roof systems available Review estimate and supporting documentation with estimating department manager or senior estimator Make follow-up calls on outstanding/delivered proposals with the business development associate who is assigned to the project Travel to customer's locations and inspect roofs Develop and maintain information on products, vendors, subcontractors, and government requirements Communicate with customers and check roofs for problem areas Measures roofs and estimate the amount of roofing material and labor needed for roofing project. Able to identify problem areas of roof systems and document findings accurately. Prepare project submittals for specified contract projects Will need to travel out of town occasionally. Market company and our services while out in the field performing inspections

Job Requirements:

Organizational, Analytical, Problem Solving and People Skills. General Construction, Roofing and/or Sales Experience (2 years) preferred, but not required. Strong communication skills Computer skills preferred. A Valid driver's license in good standing Able to climb up and down ladders to minimum heights of 25 feet. Able to lift at least 50 lbs.

Experience with:

THERMOPLASTIC, BUR, METAL, SHINGLES, TILE, SPF

FOAM and

COATINGS

preferred, but not required Company Vehicle provided.
