Construction Labor - Boring Crew

Job Description Job Description Job Description We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Boring Crew with a plow and boring attachment to join our team. You must have or have access to a plow with a boring attachment to apply for this position. This role is critical for the installation of underground utilities (fiber, cable, or telecommunications) with minimal surface disruption. You will be responsible for the physical labor involved in trenching, plowing, and navigating bores under driveways and other obstacles. This is a contract position offering up to $2,500 per week for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities Equipment Operation:

Safely operate and maintain your Drop Plow and pedestrian-controlled vibratory plows.

Driveway Boring:

Assist with setup, operation, and guidance of dry/wet boring equipment (missiles or rods) to install conduit under paved surfaces without cutting concrete.

Utility Locating:

Hand-dig and "pothole" to expose existing underground utilities (gas, water, electric) before plowing or boring to ensure safety and compliance.

Fiber/Conduit Installation:

Feed cable or conduit into the plow blade and ensure proper depth is maintained according to project specifications.

Site Restoration:

Backfill holes, tamp ground, and restore lawns or landscaping to original condition after installation is complete.

Physical Labor:

Heavy lifting, shoveling, and operating power tools in various weather conditions.

Qualifications & Skills Experience:

Minimum 1 year of experience in underground utility construction or fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) projects.

Physical Stamina:

Ability to lift 50+ lbs, walk long distances over uneven terrain, and work on your feet for 8-10 hours a day.

Safety Mindset:

Strict adherence to OSHA standards and "Call Before You Dig" (811) requirements.

Driver's License:

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Detail Oriented:

Ability to follow site maps and depth requirements to avoid damage to existing infrastructure.

Work Environment Outdoor Conditions:

This role involves working outdoors year-round, including in heat, rain, or cold.

Travel:

May require travel to different job sites daily within a specific region.

Compensation & Benefits Salary:

Pay will discussed after signing an NDA. The are no benefits with this position as this is a 1099 position.
