Contract Role Overview We are seeking a senior Construction Manager to coordinate and manage construction work performed by contractors at the project site. This role is responsible for assessing productivity, schedule compliance, work quality, and safety performance. The position acts as a critical bridge between field operations and leadership, ensuring construction activities remain on track and aligned with project goals. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and manage construction work performed by contractors and vendors. Assess productivity, schedule compliance, work quality, and safety performance. Manage walk-downs of planned work and validate acceptance of completed work to design requirements. Approve contractor payment requests and verify constructability. Oversee scope control, budget, performance reporting, and schedules. Provide leadership and coaching to Construction Supervisors and supplemental workforce. Address logistical challenges, resolve conflicts, and ensure construction activities stay on track. Survey and observe contractor Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) practices, providing coaching and direction as needed. Oversee large-scale commissioning efforts, including project scope and risk management. Manage multi-disciplinary teams and lead negotiations with contractors.Required Qualifications Education:
An Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Power Generation, or a related field, or equivalent experience.Experience:
11 to 15 years of experience in power plant commissioning, working with EPC Contractors, engineering firms, and equipment suppliers.Skills:
A strong understanding of engineering principles related to power plant commissioning is required. Driving will be required as part of the position duties.
