About the
Role:
Groskopf Construction is seeking to hire an additional Project Manager who will be primarily responsible for the completion of new construction and remodeling projects. This role blends project management, carpentry knowledge, client interaction, all while learning from a highly experienced team. If you enjoy creative problem-solving and truly custom residential design, this is a great opportunity to grow your career.What You'll Do:
75% Project Management Communicate with client on actual vs. budget, timeline, progress updates to include photos Select, negotiate, manage and approve all subcontractors for the job Manage the work schedule with internal labor and subcontractors Order, receive, inspect, manage, return as needed all inventory (millwork, doors, siding, etc.) for the job - this includes approval of vendor invoices Maintain quality throughout the project and coordinate completion of warranty requests Anticipate, identify, and solve problems as they develop throughout the Project Inspect job site for work hazards and ensure safety is always considered during construction Coordinate with Municipalities for inspections and occupancy permits Coordinate with utilities as required for disconnect and re-connection Responsible for monthly invoices to clients as well as collection of amount due 10% Evaluate and implement new strategies and procedures to improve company efficiency and effectiveness 10% Mentor and develop employees to include recruitment, performance reviews, and advancement 5% Maintain and improve company image through networking and trade shows/events What We're Looking For Prior Residential Construction Management OR Higher Education in Project Management Prior Experience in Framing and Finish Carpentry Strong communication skills, attention to detail, customer service mindset, and basic budgeting/math ability. Computer skills (Microsoft Office Products as well as ability to learn other software) Local travel is required to job sites and vendor locations with private auto (mileage reimbursement is provided) Must have ability to lift up to 50 pounds Why Join Groskopf Construction?
