Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Project Manager to lead and oversee complex construction projects from inception to completion. In this pivotal role, you will coordinate all phases of construction, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Your expertise in construction management, project scheduling, and site coordination will drive successful project outcomes while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards. DutiesPreconstruction & Estimating Identify and pursue new construction and government contract opportunities Review plans, specifications, and contract documents Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and prepare accurate cost estimates Solicit, analyze, and negotiate subcontractor and vendor pricing Prepare bid proposals, schedules, and pricing breakdowns Identify project risks, scope gaps, and value-engineering opportunities Search govenment website for job to bid on. Project Management Manage day-to-day operations on active job sites Develop and track project budgets, schedules, and cost reports Prepare, submit, and manage submittals, RFIs, and change orders Coordinate and communicate with subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and owners Conduct job meetings and provide project status updates Ensure compliance with contract requirements, safety standards, and government regulations Review and enforce subcontractor scopes, schedules, and performance Manage project closeout documentation Lead the planning, execution, and closing of construction projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and specifications. Develop comprehensive project schedules using tools like Primavera P6 and Construction management software to monitor progress and adjust plans proactively. Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to facilitate seamless communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle. Review blueprints, schematics, contracts, and construction documents to ensure clarity and compliance with design intent and regulatory standards. Oversee construction site activities, ensuring safety protocols are followed and quality standards are met or exceeded. Manage procurement processes including construction estimating, subcontractor selection, and contract negotiations. Utilize industry-standard software such as ProCore, and other construction management tools for project tracking, documentation, and reporting. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, resolve issues promptly, and ensure adherence to project specifications. Facilitate project meetings with stakeholders to review milestones, address challenges, and update schedules as needed. Maintain meticulous records of project documentation including change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), daily logs, and safety reports. Qualifications Proven experience in construction management with a strong background in heavy civil or commercial projects. Proficiency in project scheduling software such as Primavera P6 and Construction management software like ProCore or Bluebeam. Solid understanding of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating processes. Hands-on experience with construction site operations including safety procedures and site coordination. Familiarity with contracts management and negotiation strategies within the construction industry. Strong skills in project management methodologies with excellent time management abilities. Effective communication skills for coordinating teams across multiple disciplines while maintaining clear documentation of all project activities.
