Based on experience About Us Norwood Construction Services is a general contractor performing commercial construction, tenant improvements, remodels, additions, and other construction projects throughout Northern California. We are looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This position requires strong organization, communication, plan reading, scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, and project documentation skills. Position Summary The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for managing assigned projects, coordinating with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal field staff to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with the contract documents. Responsibilities Manage commercial construction projects from start to finish Work closely with Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, owners, architects, and engineers Review plans, specifications, contracts, proposals, and subcontractor scopes of work Prepare, track, and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation Coordinate project schedules with Superintendents and subcontractors Track project budgets, costs, commitments, and potential changes Review subcontractor proposals and assist with scope leveling Prepare and issue subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders as needed Coordinate project meetings and maintain meeting minutes when required Communicate project updates, issues, delays, and changes with the project team Coordinate permitting, inspections, and jurisdictional requirements as needed Monitor material lead times, procurement, and deliveries Review pay applications, invoices, and project billing documentation Maintain organized project files in Procore and company systems Assist with project closeout, including punch list, warranties, as-builts, and final documentation Maintain professionalism when communicating with owners, architects, inspectors, subcontractors, and vendors Qualifications Construction Project Manager experience required Commercial construction experience required Strong understanding of construction sequencing, project documents, and subcontractor coordination Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contracts Experience managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, schedules, and budgets Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong organization and time management skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills Professional appearance and demeanor Computer skills required, including Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Procore Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation required Ability to travel to projects as needed Preferred Experience Commercial tenant improvement projects Retail and restaurant construction Commercial remodels and renovations Ground-up commercial construction Estimating and bid leveling Contract and subcontract management Owner and architect coordination Project scheduling Budget tracking and cost management Procore project management experience Physical Requirements Ability to visit active construction sites as needed Ability to walk jobsites, climb stairs, and access work areas Ability to work in office and field environments
