Construction Project Scheduler

Project Scheduler Full-Time | Construction Department We are seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to support large-scale construction projects by developing, maintaining, and analyzing detailed CPM schedules. This position plays a critical role in ensuring project timelines, sequencing, and contractual schedule requirements are met with accuracy and efficiency. Position Overview The Project Scheduler is responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating integrated project schedules to ensure projects are executed efficiently and in compliance with contract documents. This role works closely with project managers, contractors, architects, engineers, and vendors to maintain schedule accuracy and identify potential risks. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain baseline CPM schedules Monitor and update integrated project plans Assess critical path and near-critical activities Identify schedule impacts and assist with corrective action planning Prepare schedule progress reports and trend analysis Analyze change orders for schedule impacts Review schedules from A/E firms, vendors, and general contractors Evaluate logic, float paths, and activity sequencing Resource-load schedules as required Conduct job-site walks to verify physical progress Facilitate scheduling meetings and planning sessions Maintain historical schedule documentation and lessons learned Develop scheduling estimates and proposals Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field

OR 10-12

years of relevant experience Minimum 10 years of experience as a planner/scheduler on capital construction projects Experience with design and construction phases Strong understanding of construction concepts and practices Ability to read and interpret plans and construction documents Experience in infrastructure, retail, medical, or institutional construction preferred Design-build experience is a plus Technical Requirements Proficiency in Primavera (Oracle) Proficiency in Microsoft Project Experience with Suretrack preferred Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Outlook Expertise in modern scheduling methodologies and tools Certifications such as AIC, CFMA, AACE, or PMI are preferred. Additional Skills Strong analytical and reasoning ability Ability to interpret technical documents and data Effective communication skills with leadership and project teams Ability to manage multiple abstract and technical variables Work Environment This role is primarily office-based with occasional job-site visits.
