Construction Superintendent

The Beechwood Organization, also known as Beechwood Homes, is at the forefront of privately-owned home builders nationwide, one of the largest developers of single family and multifamily housing on the East Coast and in New York State, the largest home builder and developer of sophisticated lifestyle communities on Long Island. We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead on-site operations for a residential condominium project in the Rockaways. The Site Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all construction activities, ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop a clear overall understanding of the plans and specifications as well as each Trade Contractor's scope of work. 2. Be responsible for a comprehensive understanding of all applicable codes, code revisions/updates as it relates to the project and scopes of work therein. 3. Assist Project Mgt. with the development and continued cultivation of relationships with all Inspection and Municipal agencies and help report important information as required. 4. Communicate effectively with all trades, vendors, and team members for the enforcement of all established policies and procedures, including but not limited to; quality control, reporting, management of onsite safety, etc. 5. Must possess good communication skills, both verbal and written. 6. Assist the Project Mgmt. in creating and maintaining a cohesive and synergistic onsite work environment. 7. Maintain consistent and ongoing awareness of weather conditions by monitoring weather forecasts as part of a daily regimen. 8. Ongoing management of all onsite personnel for full compliance to Beechwood's safety standards, OSHA regulations and all industry best practices regarding job site safety. 9. Maintain a complete understanding of responsibilities in the unfortunate occurrence of a job site accident. 11. Maintain a professional and organized work environment/job site at all times.

Requirements:

Must have a valid NYC DOB Site Superintendent License. Must have minimum 10 years' experience as NYC mid-rise lead construction superintendent. SST Supervisor Card (62 Hours) Comprehensive knowledge of the most recent OSHA and NYC DOB guidelines/codes/Regulations Proven experience as a Site Superintendent in construction, preferably on residential condominium projects in the NYC Metropolitan area (Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens, Manhattan). Must have the ability to manage subcontractors onsite Must be able to review, update, and maintain the project schedule Proficiency in Bluebeam, Procore, and Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel). Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work on-site 5 days a week, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

Pay:

$150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
