The Construction Superintendent is responsible for on-site coordination, quality control, scheduling, and execution of all construction activities. This role ensures that the project progresses efficiently, safely, and according to specifications.Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day on-site construction operations.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel.
- Maintain project schedule and adjust workflow to meet milestones.
- Conduct daily site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and project specifications.
- Identify and resolve issues, delays, or conflicts as they arise.
- Communicate regularly with Project Managers, clients, architects, and engineers.
- Maintain accurate project documentation including daily logs, inspection reports, and material deliveries.
- Enforce safety protocols and lead site safety meetings (Toolbox Talks).
- Manage materials, equipment, and manpower resources on-site.
- Support project closeout, including final inspections and punch list completion.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in general construction
- Knowledge of construction processes, means, methods, and best practices.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Proficient in reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Familiarity with construction management software is a plus.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid driver's license
