Job Description
The Construction Worker 1 individual will support daily operations on all job sites. This role involves intensive hands-on labor and teamwork to stay on schedule while keeping job sites safe. Core Responsibilities Assist with site prep and cleanup. Load, unload, and organize materials and equipment, transport materials and tools to work areas if needed. Support Maintenance Team or other departments if needed or instructed to by leadership. Operate basic tools, machinery, and equipment with supervision. Maintain a clean and organized job site. Follow safety procedures, site rules, reporting hazards to supervisors. Collaborate with Construction team to meet deadlines. Perform physical labor. Follow instructions, interpret blueprints, and comply with all safety (OSHA) regulations. Support with tasks such as measuring, cutting materials, and installing components. Other Duties Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position. Education and Experience Minimum 1 year of professional experience. High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred. Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Ability to perform heavy physical labor, lift heavy objects, and work in varied weather conditions. Strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work within a team environment. Ability to follow instructions. Reliable transportation. Communication and collaboration. Basic Mathematical skills. Experience in safely operating construction tools and equipment. Work Schedule Full-Time, possible weekends if needed. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods. Work outdoors if needed in seasonal conditions. Ability to maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, or uneven terrain, combined with hand-eye coordination for using tools. Operate vibratory tools, pull cables, or handle heavy equipment. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials, tools, and equipment weighing 50-80 pounds, and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Ability to load and unload building materials, such as concrete, blocks, lumber, and steel. To comply with the Rehabilitation Act of 1973's essential physical, mental, and environmental requirements, employees must be able to successfully perform all functions of their job with minimal supervision. Safety Requirements Follow all safety procedures as per OSHA. Consistently and correctly use PPE. Report hazards or unsafe conditions.
