DENTAL ASSISTANT

The Dental Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of dental practices by providing support to dentists and hygienists during patient care. This position involves preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, and assisting with various dental procedures to enhance patient comfort and safety. The Dental Assistant is also responsible for managing patient records and ensuring compliance with infection control protocols. Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a dental assisting program or equivalent experience. Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.

CPR or BCLS Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in dental radiography. Experience with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software. Bilingual skills to assist a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities:

Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all necessary instruments and materials are ready for dental procedures. Assist dentists during examinations and treatments by providing the necessary tools and support. Maintain sterilization and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Manage patient records, including scheduling appointments and updating treatment plans. Educate patients on post-treatment care and general oral hygiene practices.

Position Status:

Full-Time This position is subject to Native American/Alaskan Native preference. Indian Preference applies in accordance with P.L. and other applicable laws.
