Job Description

As a Continuous Improvement Engineer , you will be the driving force behind operational excellence at the California composite materials manufacturing facilities. You will identify, lead, and implement process improvements that enhance productivity, quality, and safety, while reducing waste and costs. Your expertise will help us modernize legacy systems, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and ensure our plant place at the forefront of the industry. Key Responsibilities Analyze current manufacturing processes, identify inefficiencies, and develop actionable improvement plans using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies. Lead cross-functional teams in Kaizen events, root cause analysis, and problem-solving initiatives. Collaborate with engineering, production, quality, and maintenance teams to implement best practices and innovative solutions. Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of improvement initiatives. Mentor and train plant personnel on continuous improvement tools and methodologies, fostering a culture of operational excellence. Drive digitalization and automation projects to modernize legacy equipment and processes. Ensure all improvements align with safety, quality, and environmental standards. Report progress and results to plant leadership and contribute to strategic planning. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred). 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally with composite materials or advanced materials. Proven track record of leading successful continuous improvement projects (Lean, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification preferred). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to influence at all levels. Experience with digital transformation, automation, or Industry 4.0 initiatives is a plus. Passion for innovation, sustainability, and driving change in legacy environments.
You will get:
Competitive salary and benefits package. The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $112,000 to $140,000 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives. 16, or more, weeks of maternity/paternity and co-parenting leave, according to local regulations Training platform for all employees Free well-being sessions (physical and psychological) Additional information:
