- About Full Throttle Marine Full Throttle Marine is a premium mobile marine service company serving high-net-worth recreational boat owners across the Tampa Bay corridor.
- The Role We're looking for a Contract Marine Technician to join our Tampa Bay team.
- What You'll Do Perform scheduled outboard service at the 50, 100, and 200-hour manufacturer intervals (Yamaha and/or Mercury) Execute winterization and spring commissioning procedures at customer vessels Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in the field Support premium detailing services as needed Complete photo documentation and digital service reports after every job Represent the Full Throttle Marine brand with professionalism — uniformed, on time, and prepared Communicate clearly with the operations team on parts needs, scheduling, and job status•Requirements Certification required: Active certification from one or more of the following: ABYC (American Boat and Yacht Council) — Marine Technician certification Yamaha Marine — Certified Technician (YCT) or equivalent dealer training Mercury Marine — Certified Technician or equivalent factory training Minimum 2 years hands-on experience servicing outboard engines Strong working knowledge of Yamaha and/or Mercury outboard systems Reliable personal vehicle capable of transporting tools and equipment to job sites Ability to work independently and manage time across multiple daily service calls Professional appearance and strong customer-facing communication skills Valid Florida driver's license and clean driving record Must carry or be willing to obtain appropriate liability coverage•Preferred Experience with 2-stroke and 4-stroke outboard platforms Familiarity with marine electrical systems, fuel delivery, and trim/tilt systems Experience working from a service skiff or dockside (water-side access preferred for some locations) Prior mobile service or field service experience•What We Offer Competitive per-job compensation — above market rate for certified technicians Flexible scheduling — you control your availability Consistent work volume in one of Florida's highest-density boating markets Professional brand backing — customers are pre-vetted, appointments are pre-set Digital job management — no paperwork, no chasing invoices Clear path to increased volume as the network grows Ground-floor opportunity with a franchise concept in early growth phase•Service Territory Palmetto • Bradenton • Sarasota • Tampa • St.
