Forklift Operator

Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable Forklift Operator to safely move and handle materials throughout the facility. This role involves operating a sit-down propane forklift to load, unload, and transport oversized products ranging from 16 to 30 feet in length. The ideal candidate has strong forklift experience (minimum of 3 years experience), pays close attention to detail, and is committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Shift:

6:00AM - 4:30

PM Schedule:

Monday - Friday (Optional OT available on Saturdays)

Pay:

$18.00 (Promotions and pay increase available after 90 days)

Key Responsibilities:

Safely operate forklifts to transport, load, and unload materials Handle long-length products (16, 20, and 30 feet) with precision and care Load and unload trucks while ensuring products are properly secured Move materials to designated storage or production areas Inspect loads for accuracy and report any damage or discrepancies Perform routine equipment checks and follow all safety protocols Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Required Qualifications:

Valid forklift certification (required) Minimum of 3 years of recent forklift operating experience Proven experience handling oversized or long-length materials Ability to lift, move, and position heavy products safely Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a team environment

Preferred Skills:

Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities

Work Environment:

This position operates in a warehouse or manufacturing setting and may involve working indoors and outdoors. The role requires frequent movement, equipment operation, and handling of large materials, making safety awareness critical at all times. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Palmetto, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $21.00/hr.
