Job Description

Job Description The Contract Specialist is responsible for supporting the lifecycle of distributor, consulting and government contracts, with a strong emphasis on compliance, documentation, and contract management systems. This role works cross-functionally to ensure timely processing, organization, and adherence to corporate policy requirements and provides operational support for the business unit.
Key Responsibilities:
Negotiate routine template agreements using established negotiation playbooks and escalation parameters, with mentorship and guidance to support the development of broader negotiation capabilities as business needs permit. Administer and process distributor agreement portfolio using Conga contract management system platform, ensuring accuracy, compliance with corporate contracting policies, timely follow-up and completeness Perform routine due diligence inquiries using third-party risk management tools and adherence to established Corporate Legal guidelines Manage annual system for Award Management (SAM) renewal activities and maintain active registration Review and research government bids and contract awards to ensure compliance with corporate contract policies and applicable regulations Prepare NDA's and similar legal agreements using corporate templates Maintain and organize a centralized repository of contracts and agreements Respond to internal inquiries regarding contract terms, status, and documentation Support Contract Manager with projects, audits and compliance reviews as needed
Qualifications:
General understanding of legal agreement structures, basic drafting practices and able to support contract negotiations for routine commercial agreements in accordance with established guidelines and playbook policies. Proven experience in contract management or a similar role processing legal agreements, preferably within a manufacturing environment Hands-on experience with Conga or similar contract lifecycle management tools High proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel and MS Word, including spreadsheet and document formatting, comparing and editing Strong attention to detail, organizational, follow-up and research skills Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, monitor progress and meet deadlines
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with government contracting processes and compliance requirements Experience maintaining contract databases or document management systems
Salary Range:
$62,800.00-$83,700.000 The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, local regulations (such as minimum wage), education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
