Job Description

The Control Technologist supports laboratory and production operations by performing routine testing, sample preparation, and laboratory procedures in accordance with established protocols. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate documentation, following quality and safety standards, and ensuring laboratory equipment and workspaces remain clean, organized, and compliant. Responsibilities and Duties
  • Purify proteins using affinity, ion exchange, size exclusion chromatography, and related techniques
  • Analyze proteins using SDS-PAGE, serum protein electrophoresis, endotoxin assays, and other characterization methods
  • Perform experiments with strong attention to detail, documentation, and data integrity
  • Meet project goals and timelines
  • Manufacture products according to defined specifications and document production activities
  • Maintain organized, functional laboratory workspaces
  • Ensure proper labeling, handling, storage, and inventory of materials and supplies
  • Apply and support company quality systems, procedures, and best production practices
  • Assist with training production technicians and writing manufacturing or training documentation
  • Perform additional duties appropriate to education and experience as assigned by management Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent professional experience may be considered in place of a degree.
  • Degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Molecular & Cell Biology, or related field
  • Hands-on experience in protein purification and characterization
  • Ability to work independently and lead projects preferred
  • Experience with automated purification systems preferred
  • Experience training or guiding associates preferred
  • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and proactive mindset
  • Effective communication skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving, multitasking, and adaptability skills
