Controller

Description My client has a great opportunity for someone looking for a role as the Controller for their non-profit organization based in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate selected for the Controller position will be responsible for overseeing the accounting department operations, supervising AP and AR specialists, assisting with producing monthly reports, leading the month-end close process, reconciling various accounts, assisting with the annual audit providing necessary support schedules, helping with the annual budget and supporting the CFO with other duties as needed. • Assist team to complete month-end closing.
• Provide various monthly reports.
• Assist with supporting schedules for annual audit.
• Oversee daily accounting procedures.
• Preparation of financial statements.
• Review various account reconciliations. Requirements The ideal Controller we seek must have the following qualifications for consideration:
• 8+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• CPA or Master's degree, preferred.
• Capable of managing a team.
• Communicate effectively to leadership.
