This is a high-impact role where you'll drive financial visibility, strengthen processes, and help guide business decisions in a collaborative, hands-on environment. You'll lead a team of 4 and report directly to the CFO . 🧭 What You'll Do Lead all accounting and financial operations, ensuring GAAP compliance and timely, accurate reporting Oversee job cost accounting, billing, AP/AR, general ledger, and financial statements Manage cash flow forecasting and monitor financial performance across projects Build and track dashboards to provide insight into key business metrics Partner closely with Operations on project budgets, cost-to-complete projections, and performance analysis Review financing activities, identify risks, and ensure proper approvals and compliance Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets Oversee AP/AR processes, including subcontractor/vendor compliance and receivables tracking Review weekly payroll for accuracy (no processing required) Lead and develop the accounting team (4 direct reports) through coaching and mentorship Manage reconciliations, petty cash, and day-to-day accounting operations Collaborate with Executive Leadership in weekly meetings and support EOS processes Coordinate with auditors, tax partners, and support audits and filings Assist with prequalification filings, insurance, bonding, and tax-related activities Partner with the President and CFO on budgeting and strategic initiatives ✅ What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience Construction industry experience required (job costing expertise is key) Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting Experience with Sage 300 required Proven ability to communicate financial insights to non-finance stakeholders Strong leadership skills with a hands-on, team-oriented approach Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment Alignment with core values: integrity, determination, and accountability ⭐ Nice to Have CPA or CMA Experience with accounting system implementations or migrations 💡 Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary: $125K-$145K Up to 10% discretionary bonus 90% employer-paid medical premiums (employee coverage) 401(k) with 4% company match Generous
