Our client is looking for an experienced Controller to lead the financial operations for our organization in Burlington, Vermont. This role involves overseeing critical accounting functions, managing financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of financial processes, and the ability to drive strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement internal controls, financial policies, and compliance frameworks to safeguard the organization's assets.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Lead and mentor the accounting team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Prepare for and facilitate audits, ensuring all documentation and processes meet required standards.
  • Collaborate with executive leaders to provide financial insights and guide organizational planning.
  • Utilize advanced financial systems like NetSuite, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics to streamline operations and reporting.
  • Monitor and analyze financial trends, providing recommendations to improve efficiency and profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards.
