If there is alignment now or in the near future, we reach out. The Opportunity We are collaborating with multiple companies in Muskegon seeking experienced Controllers. Key Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. Manage and optimize the company's cost accounting system, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation. Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for internal and external stakeholders. Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity. Lead the annual budget process and provide ongoing financial forecasting and analysis. Collaborate with operations to analyze production costs, identify efficiencies, and support strategic decision-making. Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and working capital to optimize financial performance. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification highly preferred. 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment. Proven experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team.
