Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines. Ensure all food is presented beautifully and served in a timely manner. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety standards. Assist in menu planning and inventory management to minimize waste. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations. Monitor food quality and freshness, making adjustments as necessary. Serve meals and interact with residents to gather feedback and enhance their dining experience. Participate in ongoing training and development to improve culinary skills.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a cook in a similar setting, preferably in a healthcare or residential facility. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently. Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus. Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays. Passion for cooking and providing exceptional service to residents. Ability to lift and carry heavy items as needed in the kitchen.
