Job Description

Calson Management is hiring for a Cook for Harbor at Hillsdale in San Mateo (Recently renamed community). Memory Care, Assisted, and Independent Living. Full-time Cook potential schedule if hired: Full time Saturday and Sunday 6am-2pm and 3 times week 1030am-7pm. Pay Rate- Cooks $24.00 Hourly (Benefits below) Experienced cooks needed. Must clear FBI and DOJ Clearance, interested in a rewarding career.

JOB DESCRIPTION
All cooks must have knowledge and experience in the preparation of all meals in accordance with the Administrator and Dietary Director's guidance, sanitation procedures in accordance with the facility directives, Local, State and Federal Regulations, food storage requirements, stock management and the operation of all kitchen equipment.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare all meals in the style and fashion indicated by the Administrator, Lead Chef, and posted menu. Store and maintain, per regulatory guidelines all perishable food items, including leftover foods. Store and maintain per regulations, all non-perishable food items in the storeroom. Maintain a strict "clean as you go" policy for staff ensuring a clean professional work environment per regulatory guidelines. Report all equipment maintenance concerns to the Lead Chef and Maintenance. Coordinates in checking the next day's food production needs, pull and thaw frozen items in a timely manner. Works with the management team, contributing ideas and suggestions in the planning of special theme/holiday occasions. Provides therapeutically correct food items for special diets. Assists in the completion of temperature and meal record log and participates in taste testing and temperature recording.
OUR REQUIREMENTS
Due to our Licensing we are required to have a clear LiveScan clean of convictions or active arrests for all of our employees in order to be hired. The LiveScan is required when applicants are candidates for positions that place them in a position of trust for some of California's most vulnerable citizens, including elderly and dependent adults and children, it is vital for the licensing authority to be aware of convictions or active arrests to avoid exposing clients in care to unnecessary harm. We will pay for this and help you set up the appointment. If you have had a LiveScan in the past 2 years please let us know. Must have a TB test and we ask that you get a flu shot. Good physical health shall be verified by a health screening performed by a physician not more than (6) months prior to or (7) days after employment. This certification must verify that the Caregiver has no communicable diseases, open lesions, or any other health problem, which could interfere with the individual's job performance All employees are expected to report to work on time or give the Lead Chef sufficient notice (i.e. minimum of 4 hours). Reliable transportation and punctuality are absolutely mandatory. In a typical (8) hour shift the Cook will routinely be required to stoop, carry, bend, squat, kneel, crouch, climb, grip, reach, push, and pull. The Cook will also occasionally be required to lift, overhead, waist-high, and floor level. The Cook will be required to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted routinely on a daily basis. In-depth orientation to facility required, including familiarity with its policies and procedures, physical plant and the Residents. The Caregiver understands that
