Overview Join our dynamic culinary team as a Cook/Food Prep specialist, where your passion for food and dedication to quality will shine! In this vital role, you'll be responsible for preparing delicious, nutritious meals while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness. Responsibilities Prepare and assemble meals according to established recipes, menus, and dietary guidelines Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices Assist in menu planning by preparing ingredients and suggesting improvements based on culinary experience Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment to meet health and safety standards Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food and coordinating serving logistics Serve food efficiently and courteously to guests or clients in a timely manner Follow all food safety procedures, including proper knife skills, portion control, and temperature checks Requirements Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable Hands-on experience with food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of food handling safety protocols and sanitation standards Familiarity with menu planning, food service operations, and catering processes Strong knife skills and proficiency in basic culinary techniques Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude Join us if you're passionate about creating delicious meals that bring joy to others!
