Coordinator of Nursing Services

A Coordinator of Nursing Services position is available with the Northeast School Corporation of Sullivan County. This position requires a registered professional nurse who has completed a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university. The applicant needs expertise in pediatric, community health, adult, and mental health nursing with strong health promotion, assessment, referral, communication, leadership, organization and time management skills. Knowledge of health and education laws impacting children is essential, as are teaching strategies for the delivery of health education to students and staff.

Some of the responsibilities include:

general first aid, care of students with chronic health concerns, maintain health records, training of staff, complete reports issued by the Indiana State Department of Health and the Indiana State Department of Education and coordinate the Wellness Committee of NESC. The salary for this position will be based on experience. The job is for 7 hours a day with a time of approximately 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The Coordinator of Nursing Services position is for 185 days.
