ABOUT US CLUB SOCCER
A National Association member of the U.S. Soccer Federation, US Club Soccer fosters the growth and development of soccer clubs in order to create the best possible development environment for players of all ages. Anchored by Players First and its five pillars of Club Development, Coaching Development, Player Development, Parent Engagement & Education and Player Health & Safety, US Club Soccer offers registration, league- and cup-based competition platforms, player identification and a variety of other programming, resources and services.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
The Coordinator, Safeguarding & Compliance provides administrative support for US Club Soccer's safeguarding and compliance initiatives throughout US Club Soccer's ecosystem. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provide administrative support for safeguarding and compliance reports, inquiries, and cases from intake through closure including reviewing reports received through US Club Soccer reporting mechanisms, responding to requests for membership information, and referring reports to external agencies and/or law enforcement as required. Support US Club Soccer members in navigating their reporting requirements and responding to reports. Assist in the development, implementation and execution of auditing procedures to ensure compliance with US Club Soccer policies and procedures, including but not limited to prohibited conduct, risk management, abuse prevention, and registration policies. Address matches of potential registrants on applicable adverse eligibility lists, and conduct periodic list reviews. Assist in the creation, implementation, and execution of department priorities. Be a safeguarding and compliance knowledge resource and stay updated on policies, trends, and best practices. Contribute to the overall strategy and development of US Club Soccer's safeguarding and compliance initiatives. Proactively suggest new and revised policies, procedures, and resources. Ensure clean and thorough documentation, maintain updated records, and manage knowledge resources effectively. Oversee and address safeguarding and compliance-related registration requirements and support escalations.
THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU NEED
This position requires an individual who is proactive, motivated, of high integrity, and able to work cooperatively in a team environment while representing US Club Soccer in a professional manner.
Additional qualifications are as follows:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution, or equivalent previous work experience. Ability to think critically, interpret and comprehend complex information, and recognize and assess risk in a logical capacity. Exceptional diligence, attention to detail and organizational skills. Clear and efficient written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to consistently produce clean and thorough documentation. Strong emotional intelligence. Ability to use discretion and handle sensitive information confidentially.
NOTES:
This position is employed by the U.S. Soccer Federation for US Club Soccer.
