Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
includes the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Works with Supervisor to determine accurate priorities and relays information to fellow employees to meet established production and shipping schedules. 2. Coordinates appropriate resources (welding fixtures, equipment/tools, goods, scrap steel, etc) to assist welders, mold builders, fab operators & shipping in performing their tasks effectively and efficiently. 3. Assures quality standards are maintained throughout area, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with specified requirements; assures each product meets customer specifications; notes accuracy of product detail including dates, special instructions installations, etc, escalating all related concerns to the supervisor or Quality. 4. Reviews special projects such as complete hog barns and new products to identify specific material placement, configuration, design, weld fixturing, etc to ensure smooth process from quoting to installation. 5. Works with team members to assure proper packaging of product - bundling, packaging, placement as directed by supervisors and customer specifications. 6. Maintains & optimizes organization and placement of product to ensure smooth operations. Identifies, recommends and implements solutions for potential or actual issues. 7. Completes required paperwork, or works with fellow employees to ensure paperwork is completed, thoroughly and accurately, and entered into the appropriate system as necessary. 8. Monitors and maintains proper placement, organization, and inventory counts ensuring appropriate on hand quantities, ordering to stock or special order as necessary. 9. Monitors and administers the complete, accurate, and timely use of TCM operating system, including reviewing appropriate bill of materials and routing accuracies. 10. Assists supervisors on training new and existing employees regarding proper procedures and work requirements within the area. 11. Ensures safe operating procedures are followed (proper lifting technique and ergonomics, safe machine operation, usage of personal protective equipment, clean work areas, etc) raising issues as necessary. Recommends equipment design or process changes to eliminate safety hazards. 12. Professionally and positively communicates with employees and management. Follows the designated "chain of command" when reporting information. 13. Serves as a positive example to other employees through proper compliance of company policies; projecting enthusiasm about the company through positive interactions with others, including internal and external customers. Works hard to keep employee morale high and positive.

Ability to operate power industrial trucks (forklifts, tractors, skid loaders, etc) safely and effectively. Ability to accurately enter production, shipping and general information into the computer system. Must be self-driven and able to work with limited or no supervision at times, however also possess the ability to receive direction from numerous individuals. EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
Familiarity with Metal Fabrication and Enterprise Resource Planning Software preferred. Knowledge of DHI product helpful. Certified Forklift operator
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, bend, twist and move about the facility. Employee regularly uses hands to grip, finger, handle, or feel; reaches with hands and arms. Must be able to push, pull and move equipment and/or supplies in excess of 50 pounds, and have ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. Occasionally lifts product in excess of 50 lbs through team lift. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus and to distinguish colors. Ability to climb in/out of and drive powered industrial trucks. The employee is occasionally required to operate a computer, use the telephone, kneel, squat and lay. Frequent exposure to elements such as odors, oil, fumes, noise, & changing weather conditions. Employee must wear required personal protective equipment, including hardhat, safety glasses with side shields, goggles/face shields, safety footwear, hearing protection in designated areas, Kevlar gloves, and/or other equipment as task dictate.
