Job Description

Summary:
Key parts of the role include preparing and consolidating financial statements, analyzing and reconciling accounts, regulatory reporting, analyzing cash flow, creating budgets and forecasts, and managing internal controls. This role will be key in building up the finance function in a rapidly growing business environment.
Responsibilities:
Accounting Operations & Controls Support the ongoing refinement and documentation of operational and accounting procedures to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with best practices. Assist with developing and maintaining accounting controls that promote accuracy, reliability, and continuous improvement across finance processes. Prepare or support the preparation of corporate general ledger journal entries in accordance with established accounting policies. Maintain the fixed asset and prepaid schedules, including tracking additions, disposals, and periodic amortization. Assist with coordinating ad-hoc accounting analysis and special projects as assigned. Financial Close, Reporting & Reconciliations Contribute to monthly internal and external reporting activities by preparing schedules, performing checks, and ensuring deadlines are met. Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations with proper support and timely resolution of outstanding items. Review financial information—such as trends, benchmarks, and performance metrics—and summarize observations in a clear and concise manner. Support coordination with external auditors by preparing requested documentation and assisting with inquiries. Analysis & Business Support Analyze financial data, test assumptions, evaluate variances, and prepare summaries and recommendations for management decision-making. Contribute to the preparation of weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts, gathering input from project teams, AP/AR, and leadership. Support development of the annual business plan by compiling departmental budgets, validating assumptions, and ensuring inputs align with company objectives. Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, enhance visualizations, and identify opportunities to automate reporting where feasible. Shared Services, AP/AR, & Operational Collaboration Assist in the oversight and review of activities performed by shared-service teams and service providers, including accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. Build strong working relationships with Operations and demonstrate openness to learning the nuances of the construction and fabrication environment. Treasury & Cash Management Support treasury activities such as monitoring daily cash positions, preparing cash movement schedules, updating bank reporting files, and assisting with short-term cash forecasting. Assist in maintaining banking documentation, user access, and compliance with internal controls around payments and disbursements.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. Strong foundational understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis. Familiarity Power BI and SQL. Professional development (e.g., CPA or other relevant certifications) is welcomed and supported but not required. Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship, both now and in the future. Ability to travel occasionally (less than 10%).
Physical Requirements:
Ability to reach, stand, walk, use fingers, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see and perform repetitive motion.
Sedentary work:
Exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Must be capable of traveling by car or airplane as needed to support business activities.
