SAFETY MANAGER IN MELROSE PARK, IL
Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a Corporate Safety Manager to join our team in Melrose Park, Illinois. This individual will be responsible for playing a key role in advancing the organization s safety culture and risk management strategy across multiple trades and districts. The ideal candidate will possess 3+ years in a safety management role within a large, self-performing construction environment, Bachelor s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Construction Management, Risk Management, or related field, and more listed below. Pay, Schedule, and Location Starting at $100,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision Full time schedule Located in Melrose Park, Illinois Duties and Responsibilities Develop, update, and govern corporate-level safety policies, procedures, and compliance programs aligned with regulatory and internal standards. Evaluate incident trends, leading and lagging indicators, and audit data to identify systemic risks and prioritize prevention strategies. Standardize best practices across districts to ensure consistent implementation and accountability. Partner with leadership to align safety programs with operational goals and strategic direction. Conduct detailed root-cause analyses following incidents or near-misses and prepare actionable summaries for leadership. Translate complex data into clear, visual dashboards and reports. Deliver executive-level presentations and written communications outlining performance, trends, and initiatives. Develop and deliver corporate safety training modules, campaigns, and communication materials to reinforce a proactive safety culture. Collaborate closely with District Safety Officers to provide guidance and ensure consistent application of standards. Assist leadership in coaching, mentoring, and building capability within district safety teams. Manage corporate safety audit programs and ensure corrective actions are completed effectively. Serve as a liaison with insurance representatives, regulatory agencies, and third-party auditors. Monitor and interpret emerging regulatory changes, industry trends, and technologies to strengthen safety programs. Requirements and Qualifications 3+ years in a safety management role within a large, self-performing construction environment. Bachelor s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Construction Management, Risk Management, or related field preferred. Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and related safety regulations. Proven ability to design and manage enterprise-wide safety programs and communicate effectively across all organizational levels. Strong analytical and reporting skills; proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and data visualization tools. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence through credibility and collaboration. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated critical thinking and sound judgment in high-pressure situations.
