Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and other treatments following strict protocols and medical orders. Manage acute pain and assist with complex medical procedures such as catheterization, wound suturing, and specimen collection. Monitor patients' conditions using advanced EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic or Cerner, ensuring accurate documentation of all care provided. Provide triage services for urgent health concerns, prioritizing cases based on severity and coordinating with healthcare providers for specialized interventions such as ICU or trauma center care. Support infection control practices and adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop discharge plans, coordinate long-term care, and facilitate continuity of care within the correctional setting. Qualifications Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in , with current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations, including individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia or Alzheimer's disease, and those requiring memory or behavioral health care. Prior experience in correctional facilities is preferred but not required; relevant backgrounds include hospital medicine, emergency medicine, ICU, trauma centers (Level I or II), or long-term care settings such as nursing homes or assisted living facilities. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation. Knowledge ofICD-9/10
coding for diagnostic evaluation and medical records management. Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology to perform effective patient assessments and interventions. Ability to work independently while maintaining excellent communication skills within a team-oriented environment.
