Responsibilities Conduct detailed physical examinations and patient assessments to determine medical needs and prioritize care Administer medications, injections, and treatments following proper aseptic techniques and medical protocols Manage airway emergencies, vital signs monitoring, and basic life support procedures during critical incidents Perform venipuncture, blood draws, and other diagnostic procedures with precision and safety Provide emergency medical interventions including trauma management, triage, and critical care when necessary Document all patient interactions accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs Maintain proficiency in anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, DME (Durable Medical Equipment), and emergency medicine practices Ensure adherence to infection control standards through proper aseptic techniques during all patient care activities Support urgent care services within the facility by responding swiftly to medical emergencies in high-pressure situations Experience Proven hospital or emergency room experience with a focus on urgent or critical care setting Demonstrated proficiency in airway management, vital signs assessment, and emergency medicine procedures Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medication administration, venipuncture, and medical terminology Ability to perform physical examinations accurately while maintaining aseptic technique standards This role offers an engaging environment where your skills directly contribute to the well-being of individuals in custody while supporting the safety of staff and inmates alike.
