$100,000 - $110,000 base + 8% bonusOverview:
A leading aerospace manufacturing organization is seeking a Cost Accountant to support complex, high-precision production programs. This role will play a critical part in job costing, inventory accuracy, and financial analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making. This is a highly visible position partnering with operations, engineering, and leadership to drive cost efficiency and improve overall financial performance.Key Responsibilities:
Lead job costing analysis across multiple manufacturing programs Oversee and support physical inventory processes , cycle counts, and inventory accuracy Develop and maintain part-level budgeting and cost models Analyze variances between standard and actual costs; identify root causes and recommend solutions Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities Conduct financial analysis tied to production, materials, and labor utilization Partner cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and supply chain teams Assist with audits, internal controls, and process improvements Drive initiatives to improve costing accuracy and streamline financial processesQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5-8+ years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment Aerospace or defense industry experience strongly preferred Strong background in job costing, inventory, and standard costing Experience with physical inventory and cost analysis in a production setting Ability to analyze complex financial data and present actionable insights Strong communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teamsWhy This Role:
