Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Exciting opportunity for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to make a lasting impact in an educational setting near Felda, FL! This contract role calls for a compassionate and skilled professional eager to support students' growth and enhance their participation in school environments.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program Valid state license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) Minimum one year of recent experience, preferably in a school or pediatric environment Ability to pass a comprehensive background check Commitment to ongoing continuing education and professional development as required by state and district guidelinesResponsibilities:
Assist a licensed Occupational Therapist in delivering tailored occupational therapy services to students Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at addressing students' educational and developmental objectives Document and track progress, collaborating with supervising OTs to adjust plans as needed Foster collaborative relationships with teachers, administrators, and families to support each student's unique needs Maintain thorough, accurate records in line with all legal, state, and district regulations Engage in ongoing professional learning to stay current with industry best practices Experience exceptional support, robust resources, and a dedicated recruiter throughout your assignment.
