Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Step into a vital role supporting high school students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for the full 2026-2027 school year. This contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in a dynamic educational setting, working closely with a virtual occupational therapist to deliver impactful services. Located near Gadsden, AZ, this full-time opportunity allows you to hone your school-based skills, with extended school year (ESY) work available if you're interested in additional experience.
Key Qualifications:
Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license Previous experience in a school setting preferred Familiarity with the unique needs of high school-aged students Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially in a virtual team environment Passion for supporting student growth, independence, and participation
Core Responsibilities:
Implement therapeutic activities and interventions under the supervision of a virtual OT Assist in developing strategies for improving students' functional skills within the classroom Track student progress and document session outcomes and observations Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families to maximize success Participate in IEP meetings and contribute valuable insights on student development Collaborate effectively with virtual and onsite team members to ensure seamless service delivery throughout the school year This position provides stability throughout the academic year with an August 4th, 2026 start and a May 27th, 2027 end date.
