Job Description
Category Therapy - Hospital - PT Job Type Travel Located in the vibrant community of Gadsden, AZ, this travel position offers seasoned and early-career Physical Therapists the chance to broaden their clinical expertise while experiencing the distinctive culture and scenic beauty of the Southwest. With its proximity to outdoor adventures and sun-soaked landscapes, Gadsden provides the perfect backdrop for both professional development and immersive downtime experiences. In this hospital-based role, you'll gain exposure to a diverse patient population with a wide range of acute inpatient needs. This opportunity allows you to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, learn the latest evidence-based approaches to rehabilitation, and work alongside experienced healthcare professionals. Schedule:
Choice of 5x8's or 4x10's (Sun-Wed or Wed-Sat) Flexible weekend coverage 2-3 days per month Rotating holidaysQualifications:
Graduation from an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy program or equivalent Active AZ Physical Therapy license or AZ PT Compact eligibility Current AHA BLS certification Experience with acute inpatient clinicals (recent preferred if a new grad) At least one year of professional PT experience (post-clinicals) Solid understanding of pathology, lab values, and interdisciplinary communicationKey Responsibilities:
Comprehensive evaluation and individualized treatment planning Delivery of skilled physical therapy interventions for acute care patients (ortho, CVA, CHF, COPD, sepsis) Effective patient, caregiver, and interdisciplinary communication to support care transitions Clear and timely documentation that adheres to department and regulatory standards Supervision and delegation to PTAs and other therapy support staff Participation in departmental meetings, process improvement, and continual learningBenefits and Perks:
