Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity where your skills as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) can have a direct impact on students' growth and daily success. This full-time position serves K-12th grade students and offers you the chance to shape young lives while working alongside passionate educators and licensed therapists. In this school-based healthcare setting, you will support students in reaching their academic and functional potential through targeted interventions, collaboration, and meaningful engagement.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Active COTA certification and state licensure (or eligibility to obtain before start date) Previous experience working in school environments or with pediatric populations is highly desirable Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation Excellent interpersonal communication and teamwork abilities Adaptable, organized, and motivated to provide quality therapy services
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in implementing occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed OT Support students' participation in classroom activities and improve daily living skills Collect data and monitor student progress toward IEP goals Communicate clearly with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary team members Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation as required Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages student engagement and independence Being based near Maricopa, AZ, you'll have the flexibility and variety a contract role offers, with the satisfaction of making a meaningful difference in students' lives each day.
