Mythik Camps operates all-outdoor mythology-based day camps for kids ages 7-15. We create a world where monsters, myth, and magic transport kids out of the mortal realm into one where they are empowered to develop new skills, take risks, solve problems, and become Heroes. With seventeen camps across the U.S., Mythik Camps uses actors, live-action role-play, and physically and mentally engaging activities to bring myths to life.Job Summary:
We are seeking enthusiastic and initiative-taking teenagers aged (16 to 17) to join our staff as Counselors-in-Training, or CITs. CITs will work and learn alongside our Counselors and Camp Leadership Team, cover operational tasks, camper group management, and both lead and participate in activities. By modeling appropriate conduct and enthusiastic participation, CITs are vital in showing campers how to have a fun and successful Summer. tCIT Responsibilities:
Connect With a Community of Heroes. CITs will enthusiastically participate in all activities, and lead a group of 10-14 campers as needed. They will guide the demigods with kindness, high-energy, and heroic conduct. Execute Procedures. CITs are able to meet changing work needs, complete operational and organizational tasks, effectively; go where the director and camp counselors send them, and do so with enthusiasm and a smile! Build the World. CITs will participate in each week's storyline, actively participate in quest events and help campers connect to the camp lore . Grow as an Adventurer. Working with the camp director, counselors develop as compassionate mentors and leaders. We encourage CITs to grow as collaborative team-builders, effective communicators, problem-solvers, and creative-thinkers. Above all, we require resilience in our counselors, and place emphasis on the balance between organization and flexibility. What are we looking for? 16 years old by first day of operation, with working papers valid through August 2026. Please consult your local state legislature for summer camp minimum hiring ages. Excitement about working in an outdoor environment in the summer Passionate about mythology and educational programming for children Bonus experience, not required: Experience leading children at summer camp, after school programs, or in other structured capacities.Similar remote jobs
