The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and possess a diverse skill set to provide effective counseling services. Great job opportunity for a new graduate with or without a license, looking to gain clinical supervision hours toward full licensure, or a fully-licensed clinician looking for a few extra hours per week. Hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 4 pm until 8 pm. We will consider adding hours as you build a caseload. Counselor is paid an hourly wage for assigned hours whether or not clients attend session (so you are paid for every hour of work regardless if clients show up or not). We provide clinical supervision and paid time off! We provide a laid-back, supportive, team-focused atmosphere where it's safe to learn, grow, and practice your clinical skills.

Job Description:

Bridges to a New Day is a small non-profit counseling agency currently located in Crest Hill, IL that provides mental health counseling services to adults, teens, children, couples, and families. We work mainly with under-insured members of our community through our reduced-fee program, as well as survivors of domestic violence and their families through our free domestic violence counseling program. This is a part-time position ideal for someone who can commit to evening availability two nights a week.

What We Offer:

$20-25 an hour. You are paid for every hour of work regardless if clients show up or not. W2 employment Clinical supervision included-We cover the cost! From our professional LCPC. Domestic Violence 40-hour training-We cover the cost! With our strong referral networks and presence in the local community, you do not need to find your own clients. Paid Time Off/Holiday pay Responsibilities Provide individual, couples, or family counseling sessions with adults, teens, and children of all ages Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Conduct mental health assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor client progress Participate in community outreach, advocacy, and educational initiatives as needed. Qualifications/Skills Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field. Proficiency in counseling methods and techniques Team player

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience providing therapy to families and multiple age groups (adults, teens, children). Training in evidence-based trauma therapies (e.g., TF-CBT, EMDR, DBT). Bilingual skills [if applicable]. Domestic Violence experience Play therapy experience
