Counter Sales Representative - Paint & Decor

This is a full-time on-site role for a Counter Sales position, located in St Simons Island, GA. The Counter Sales associate will be responsible for assisting customers with their paint and decor needs, providing product recommendations, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Day-to-day tasks include greeting customers, answering questions on the phone and in person, processing sales transactions, maintaining product displays, and providing product training to customers. The associate will also be responsible for maintaining the store's inventory and cleanliness. This job requires lifting paint, including 5 gallon pails, and driving a forklift. Pay is negotiable based on experience and you will be required to work Saturday. Qualifications Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills Must have a Valid Driver's License Must be dependable and punctual Strong Sales skills Ability to work well in a team environment Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Interest in color/design, familiarity with home improvement projects, and experience in the paint/decor industry is a plus High School diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications are a plus Must be able to lift 60-80 pounds. This job requires the physical abilities to stand, stoop, kneel, bend, walk, reach overhead, grip, squat, and carry the product to and from delivery and customer vehicles, as well as to areas within the store. Must be able or willing to learn to drive a forklift.
