County Fair Temporary Workers

San Juan County is seeking applicants for multiple positions as described below for the 2026 San Juan County Fair for the months of July and August. Hours vary from 16-32 hours per week. Please be sure to indicate which position(s) you are interested in applying for in the supplemental questionnaire when submitting your application. Office Support General office duties. Act as courier between office and various fair events and sites. Assist with entertainment venues. Help with vendor sign-ups and coordination. Ticket sales. General public relations and clerical support. Works the week of August 10th and pre-Fair time in July and August Accounting Support Prepare ticket sellers' cash boxes, receive gate receipts, reconcile cash and ticket sales, and prepare bank deposits and record sales information. Works the week of August 10th and some pre-fair time. Grounds Support Set-up and maintain grounds and buildings prior to and during the Fair. Responsibilities may include some carpentry, light labor, janitorial and clean-up. Works the weeks of August 10th and 17th with hours in July and August. Over-Night Security Monitors the grounds, camping area, exhibit buildings and vendor areas. Over-night security for entire fairgrounds. Works the week of August 10th
